This version accepts over 47,000 two-character words and over 23,000 three-character words. The word list is based on Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority common-character and word lists, supplemented by the original game vocabulary. Component hints combine individually curated entries with CJK Decomposition Data. We use visual components (部件), not strictly one Kangxi radical per character; decomposition is approximate for some characters. Duplicate components follow Wordle-style counting. A comprehensive list cannot contain every regional or newly coined Chinese word. English translations in 鬼佬 also draw on MDBG CC-CEDICT, licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0. Some accepted words do not yet have a dictionary translation; character glosses and translations are approximate and context-dependent.
